Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological diseases worldwide. More than 25,000 people have been diagnosed with epilepsy in Lithuania and more than 65 million people worldwide.

Challenges we face

- Often feeling isolated from the world due to a lack of understanding from others
- Fear of injury during a seizure can severely limit a person's daily life
activities and negatively affect quality of life
- Cognitive and memory impairment
- Living with epilepsy can cause emotional difficulties such as anxiety,
depression, helplessness and frustration due to dependence on others
- Lack of educational content limits the potential improvement of the epileptic condition,
leading to increased use of prescribed treatment for epilepsy
and have to deal with the side effects of these medications
